<biography>Professor Marinovic completed her Bachelor of Science at Midwestern University's PA program in Downers Grove, IL in 2002. She later completed her Master of Science in Clinical Research at Rush University, where she has practiced since 2007. She was the only PA in the general surgery department at Rush when she joined the organ transplant program, helping to pave the way for many PAs to take on similar roles throughout the department. She later transitioned to the Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy program at Rush, where she remains clinically active alongside her faculty role.
Professor Marinovic developed a passion for PA education as a clinical preceptor, then later as a guest lecturer for Rush and other Chicago area PA programs. In 2016 she was part of the founding faculty for Dominican University in River Forest, IL. She is now thrilled to join another developing program at Touro IL.
She completed her Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) degree in June 2023 and hopes to expand upon her research interests, which include mindfulness, mental health, and wellness in PA students and practitioners. She has published works involving mindfulness and cancer survival, and case reports in stem cell transplantation. She enjoys teaching hematology, oncology, and other areas of internal medicine. She hopes to foster students' interest in stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy, her clinical passion and a promising specialty for PAs.
