Joseph V. Giordano
Mr. Joe Giordano has worked in the cybersecurity field for over 40 years. Most recently, he served as the founding director of the graduate cybersecurity and data analytics programs at Touro University Illinois.
From 2008-2020, he was a professor of practice at Utica College (now Utica University). During his time at Utica College, he was the school's director of cybersecurity academic programs (undergraduate and graduate). These programs were designated as a national center of academic excellence in cybersecurity by the National Security Agency and Department of Homeland Security, and in computer forensics by the Defense Cyber Crime Center. In addition, Dr. Giordano was instrumental in the development of the College's cyber forensics laboratory.
Before his job at Utica College, he worked at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) for 25 years as a US government computer scientist and also served as the technical advisor for the cyber operations R&D program. While at AFRL, his areas of expertise and emphasis were database systems, cybersecurity, cyber operations, and cyber warfare.
