Neema Wasira-Johnson is the Executive Director, Information Security Governance, Risk and Compliance at Trustmark.

Neemabrings a wealth of knowledge and experience not just in governance, risk and compliance, and information security, but also information technology. Neema is a strong leader and visionary which will help ensure Trustmark stays compliant with local and federal requirements and manage security risk effectively.

Neema has more than 20 years of experience in IT and Information Security. Prior to joining Trustmark, she served as Global Director of Information Security and Divisional Information Security Officer at Walgreens Boots Alliance. There she was responsible for setting the strategic direction for multiple she functions, including evaluating the risks of new technology initiatives. global third-party risk management, and security awareness and education programs.

Neema is passionate about mentoring teams and proactively seeks for opportunities to partner with business and technology leaders to deliver value to customers.

Neema holds a master's degree in Information Security with a concentration in Information Governance, Risk Management and Compliance from DePaul Certification University and a bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Kaplan University.

Neemaalso has multiple professional certifications including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager(CISM), Certified Risk Information Systems Control (CRISC), and Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE)

Outside of work, she enjoys working out and traveling the globe with her husband and nine-year-old daughter. She and her family recently visited Tanzania, London, France, and Scotland.
