With over 40 years of management experience in industry and academia, Dr. Gouker currently serves as the CISO for First Healthcare Advisory Solutions and holds Adjunct Faculty status at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County where he teaches on a variety of technology leadership subjects. He is the co-author of the Control Account Manager's Handbook, and holder of several technology-based patents. Capitalizing on his years of experience as the Provost of the SANS Technology Institute, he has helped grow the cybersecurity practice at First Health Advisory utilizing a build, rather than buy strategy for the development of the unique cybersecurity team members required to help healthcare delivery organizations secure their connected assets.
