Technology Device Requirements
All incoming students are required to have a personal computer for daily instructional and testing purposes powerful enough to support the demanding program-specific software requirements necessary for testing and coursework, and have adequate storage to accommodate new software releases. Many computer store websites have feature/spec filters to help you find the right model. Our exam platform ‘Examplify’ will not run on Chromebooks, Android, or Linux operating systems. If the device becomes inoperable, a replacement will be required by the student immediately. Devices with virtual operating systems, virtualized environments or external camera or microphones are not permitted.

Device Brand & Model
- Mac Device: Big Sur, Monterey and Ventura.
- Windows Device: Dell Models, HP Models. If you are considering a different device such as Lenovo or Acer, you must validate that it has all of the specifications listed below
Operation Systems
Only genuine versions of the following for Windows and Mac are accepted as listed as follows:
WINDOWS 64-bit versions of Windows 10 and Windows 11. The versions of Windows certified for use are: Windows 10 22H2, Windows 11 21H2, Windows 11 22H2, and Windows 11 23H2. Alternate versions of Windows 10 and Windows 11, such as Windows RT and Windows 10 S and 11 S, are NOT acceptable.
MAC Supported Operating Systems: Only Big Sur, Monterey, Ventura, and Sonoma.
Virtual environments or operating systems or that require persistent network (local or otherwise) including, but is not limited to, VMWare, Parallels, Citrix workspace, virtual disks, streamed images, etc. Microsoft’s Virtual Machine, Parallels, VMware, VMware Fusion or any other virtual environments are not acceptable.
CPU Processor: Non-ARM Minimum of 5th Generation Intel Core™ i3 Processor or better.
Mac: Intel, M1, or M2 processor. Devices using Apple’s M1 and M2 processor and Apple Rosetta 2 are supported.
RAM: 8 GB Memory or higher available space.
USB Drive Port and Headphone jack on device required.
Hard Drive: Minimum 256 GB Hard Drive or better.
Display: Recommended 14” (no larger than 16”) HD Display or better Screen Resolution must be at least 1280 X 768 or higher, and a Device Privacy Screen Filter for exams (this is different from a screen protector).
Microprocessor Speed (GHz): a minimum of 2.3GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 is required. Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz or better.
Webcam: Integrated camera and microphone
Offsite WIFI Internet: 2.5 Mbps upload speed
Battery: 9 hours or longer battery life
